How often you should repeat each exercise depends on how well you're already trained and what you have not set a goal.

It is important that you listen to the signals your body. Clear - without a certain load you reach no training effect; a muscle can be avoided so little and is a good indicator that you are requesting your muscles effectively.

If you but remember that you can hardly withstand the load, you will be dizzy or nauseated and you feel uncomfortable, it is important to pause your workout. To overextend you is a morose affair, which can seriously damage your health and motivation. So: Not misconceived ambition, but healthy body awareness is the key to sustainable success of training.

Beginners should be a set (set = from the beginning of the first to the end of the last repetition of an exercise) with approximately 8-15 correctly executed repetitions do.

Once a "clean" version of the exercise is no longer possible, you should stop and you take a break.

Advanced skiers can make a set with 15 reps immediately.

As soon as you feel that you no longer calls the training enough or your performance gain is stagnating, you should either increase the number of repetitions or increase the number of sets.
